We are looking for a new Head of Office of Airworthiness (m/f/d) for our office in Gilching (Bavaria), who enjoys working on exciting and varied projects in an international aerospace environment. ARBEITSORT

AUFGABEN

  • One of your main tasks is the coordination and oversight of all tasks related to Type Investigation in concurrence with internal stakeholders and the competent authority
  • You monitor rulemaking activities and incorporation of regulatory changes to the design organisation manual, procedures, and forms
  • This includes ensuring the completeness and currentness of the design management system
  • You advise the departments in all questions regarding airworthiness, operational suitability, environmental protection approvals and certification
  • The preparation of the certification program in close cooperation with the engineering department, the compliance verification engineers, and the competent authority is also in your responsibility
  • You check that the compliance documents are prepared as necessary to demonstrate compliance with the certification program and release of the documents
  • You execute internal design organisation training regarding design management system and regulations
  • One of your tasks is also ensuring the initiation of activities in response to a failure evaluation (accident/ incident/ in-service occurrence) and to complaints from the operation, and providing information to the competent authority if airworthiness or operational suitability are impaired
  • You will take care of the preparation of audits required by the authorities and participation at internal and external audits
  • You execute of the independent checking function, and you support to management of the design organisation

QUALIFIKATIONEN

  • You have a Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering or comparable technical qualification
  • Proven track record as head of office of airworthiness or airworthiness office engineer resp. certification engineer is part of your profile
  • You have strong expertise in the field of aircraft type certificate modification
  • You can demonstrate thorough knowledge of EASA Part-21 as well as the certification specifications 23, 25, 27 & 29
  • Well-developed analytical and assessment skills are required to judge probable airworthiness risk
  • Very good command of English language is necessary in this international environment. German language skills are welcome
  • Personally, you have a very structured way of working, assertiveness, initiative, resilience and strong teamwork and communication skills
