AUFGABEN
You are responsible for the design, prototyping and analysis of algorithms for the gemoeric, radiometric and spectrial processing of remote sensing date from space instruments (radar, imager, sounder)
You will work on the definition and implementation of simulation models to generate representative data for the analysis of the algorithms regarding the scene of observation, the instrument signal path and the relevant satellite characteristics
The support of establishing the specifications for the processing of satellite remote sensing data is part your job
You are responsible for the acquisition of an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the measurement principles of space-born remote sensing instruments and the related instrument and satellite induced measurement distortions as well as the corresponding corrective data processing approaches
QUALIFIKATIONEN
You have a finished Master’s degree in Engineering / Simulations, Modeling or Physics, Mathematics, Aeorospace, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
You have experience in one or more of the following domains: image processing, geometric data processing (geolocation), geodesy, spectrometer or interferometer or radar data processing, earth remote sensing, space instrument design and performance
Ideally, you have a broad knowledge in physics and mathematics
You bring a software engineering background and profound skills in C++, Python and Matlab
Working in an agile S/W project is not new to you
A background in processes and standards in the space industry is a plus
You are looking forward to work in multinational teams and are eager to bring initiatives to the development in the field of data processing
You are a Teamplayer (m/f/d) with a hands-on mentality and a structured way of working
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, round off your profile
